Do i need to pick a specific collection for a specific session type?
No! All our collections can be used for any session type such as families, maternity, newborn, and seasonal private sessions. Simply choose the collection that best fits the amount of time, number of people, and the amount of images in your final gallery. Please note that studio sessions and groups of 5+ require an eligible collection or add-on.
what should we wear to our session?
Every session includes styling assistance, so you don't have to figure it out alone! We generally recommend coordinating color and textures rather than perfectly matching. Neutral or earthy tones photograph beautifully, while larger logos, neon colors, and busy patterns can be distracting. Just reach out to us and share the ages and genders of the family members including any outfit preferences (ex. pants, skirts, dress's) and we can send a curated inspiration board.
Can you recommend any good locations?
Absolutely! We'll help you select a location based on scenery, overall feeling, accessibility, and the season you envision for your photos. We offer a variety of beautiful options throughout Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas, with travel within one hour of Colorado Springs included.
What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
Colorado weather is bipolar and can change quickly, so we'll monitor the forecast leading up to your session. Light clouds or a little rain absolutely is my favorite backdrop, and can create some dreamy images. If conditions do become unsafe or would negatively impact your experience, we will work together to select a new date and time that works for everyone.
